Knabe Tool Works, Inc. first opened its doors in 1923 as a tool & die job shop in Madison, WI. As technology evolved over the years so did the business. While die repairs remain a small part of our business we have diversified into more general machining & production machining with the addition of CNC equipment.

We are a job shop producing parts from blueprints, samples or even sketches from a variety of materials. We can produce precision parts from castings or bar stock that we can source or you can provide if preferred. Materials we have vast experience with include cast iron, aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel, tool steel, plastics & even rubber.

Even though we are a small shop with an average of ten employees we have been doing this for a long time. Our journeyman die-makers, machinists & machine operators have over 150 years of collective experience. We take our craft of machining very seriously despite our relaxed work environment. We will produce the parts you need according to your desired design with precision, computer numerical control (CNC), or manual machining. Simply put, our goal is to deliver high-quality products at a reasonable price.
